Even without knowing you, I bet I know one true thing about you.Β

You need to slow down.

Do you race too fast, running from task to task and chore to chore and event to event, nary breathing in the space between? I do, too. And I’m on an ongoing journey to try and change that.

My new book on digital overwhelm (Greater Expectations: Succeed (and Stay Sane) in an On-Demand, All-Access, Always-On Age)Β takes a look at this topic from the lens of our digital lives, asking how we can find a way to be slow about the technology we use day in and day out.

Today, though, I want to tell you about another book that takes on the topic from a broader perspective. My friend Tsh Oxenreider of the highly popular blog, The Art of Simple, just released her new book, Notes from a Blue Bike: The Art of Living Intentionally in a Chaotic World. In the book, she shares on this concept of slow living within the lens of a whole-hearted memoir.

I loved Tsh’s tale of her globe-trotting family’s quest to find ways to live better, slower, and with more intention on a daily basis, and I relished her tips and ideas throughout the book on how anyone can bring slow living into their own life. Tsh’s book is an invitation to live a more pleasant, balanced, and happy life, and I smiled as I turned the pages, imagining how life would be when I reached this goal.

I loved the book so much I even endorsed it.
