I’ve been working hard to think of creative ways to get people to read Twitter for Good. And I’m pretty darn sure I’ve found the holy grail (of ideas). You are surely soon to agree that the incredible idea I have come up with (and am about to tell you about!) is going to change your life, and mine. EXCLAMATION MARK!
Here’s the idea: You take a picture of my book in the wild, I look at it, do nothing, but grin widely.
Here are a few examples of this experiment in action. It’s catching on, I’m telling you.
Person #1 I don’t Know:
Person #2 I Kinda Know Sent Me This (@Ed):
Person #3 I Definitely Really Know Well Sent Me This:
Person #4 I Know (and work with, @Che) Tweeted Me This:
There was a really good one I was going to end with, that involves my book, and a cat, and it was gonna be great.
But I can’t find it.
Bye now.
I’ll be glad to get on the bandwagon for this project! Just as soon as I see your book here in Tallahassee. We are losing book stores left and right so it may take a while!!
Paula — you could always take a photo of you looking at it on Amazon;)
do a contest.
People will upload pictures of your book in funny/outrageous/heartwarming places. They will use instagram and hashtag it with #TwitterForGood.
After a two week time an independent panel of judges (pick tweeters with big audiences who are charity oriented) will pick the best one(s) and you will donate $100 to their charity of choice.
Ask the charities to snap a photo too. They can win.
And why would I give you this advice? Because you ate raw sea urchin with me and you’re still my friend.
BRILLIANT (you are). I wonder if anyone will do it for little old me. With instagram, I WILL PERSEVERE!
Brilliant, again.
