Think Kindness is a non-profit organization that has spent some time in the last year visiting Tumaini Children’s Home — where I lived for a year, and where I co-founded Hope Runs, a non-profit organization. I am so happy to see the promo video for their upcoming documentary, The Roots of Happiness, and happy to see that Sammy takes such a central role!

I couldn’t be happier to be the guardian to Sammy Ikua Gachagua, an amazing teenager who now studies at Maine Central Institute, and who grew up at Tumaini Children’s Home, an AIDS orphanage in Nyeri, Kenya. This summer Sammy returned for a visit to Tumaini and was able to do some great work filming with Think Kindness. His inspiring message sure shows he’s a public speaker in training;)
