Although some folks use Twitter the whole week long to tweet out their favorite online finds of the week, I tend to like weekly wrap-ups that you can process all at once. The work productivity theory behind this is that your day will be less interrupted if you chunk together your “read cool articles/watch cool videos” time.
Taking a cue from @simplemom, here’s a weekly round-up of the best things on the web I imbibed this week:
- Who’s On Your Board of Directors?: I loved this article about forming a personal Board of Directors for all things you. And yes, since I’m taking the weekly round-up link idea from @simplemom my first link to point out will be a link to an article on her site.
- Amazon Rewrites the Rules on Book Publishing: For any of you following the Amazon-as-book-publisher story, here’s a great piece from the New York Times with some updates.
- Lily’s Disneyland Surprise (Wonderful Video!): Lily is turning 6, and she wants to go to Disneyland. I loved this video, especially after minute 2, when she goes ballistic (in an adorable way) and also asks if today is indeed her birthday.
- How to Handle Unsolicited Requests for Mentorship & Advice: I love this chain started by my friend @Amanda (Amanda Rose) about how to handle unsolicited email requests. This is the link to where I shared it on Google+, and if you can’t open it it’s likely because my Google+ account still baffles me.
